Mercy Inchicore is a co-educational secondary school right in the heart of Inchicore, Dublin 8. Since our schools foundation we catered for females only, however, in September 2020 we began enrolling male students also from our local community. While we are a small school consisting of 180 students, this current academic year, we take great pride in this close knit school community we have established. This pride is evident in the commitment our teachers give to each and every student daily. Our teaching and learning staff strive for an inclusive and engaging learning environment. We are a learning community that creates space and opportunity for achievement, dreams and success, empowering our learners to take responsibility for their learning path and achievements. We create this space for dreams by connecting with our college and career partners. We connect with Trinity College Dublin, Maynooth University and Technical University Dublin so that each and every student can explore their career pathways and find what is their dream. Five teachers involved in Trinity Access programmes and Erasmus+ Access21 over the last number of years are Caroline McCorriston, Donal Byrne, Paula McCarville, Thomas Nolan and Simon Creane. Trinity Access has supported Mercy in many ways, like student progression to college, mentoring, skill development in workshops and programmes that give our students insights and skills for progression to third level.
